Holidays are also all about indulging in a tasty treat.

So after a dive, allow yourself to be tempted by a cake or pastry at Chez Patachou, a charming tea room open all year round, or try a local speciality – the ‘dune blanche’ (white sand dune) a delicious and wonderfully light cream choux pastry created by Pascal the village baker. You might well find yourself taking a painting home with you. From monochrome landscapes painted on unprimed linen canvasses to large-scale artists’ representations in vibrant colours, there’s a wide range of local artistic talent on display in Grand Piquey.
