On the famous peninsula of the Bay of Arcachon, come up to the Cap Ferret Lighthouse, rebuilt in 1947. Listed as a historical monument with its 7-hectare park, it still signals today with its red glow, every 5 seconds, the entrance to the Basin and its passes, thus warning boats of danger.
53 metres high, reach its summit after 258 steps and enjoy a 360° panorama of the peninsula, the Basin and the Dune du Pilat to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. A permanent exhibition "Horizons Voyageurs" presents the evolution of maritime cartography since the 17th century, the history of the Lighthouse, 3D and interactive animations.
